Teeth in NeedTeeth in Need is a local program whose mission is to relieve dental pain and suffering for needy Burke and Wilkes County (NC) school children. The Teeth in Need (TIN) dental program is a collaborative effort between the Burke County School Nurse Program, the dental community and the Good Samaritan Clinic, Inc. In Wilkes, the effort is supported by the Health Foundation, Inc. in cooperation with the Wilkes Public Health Dental Clinic. The program provides financial assistance to parents for their child’s most immediate dental care need. Funded originally as a dental care access program, TIN strongly supports efforts in disease prevention and classroom education. Good Samaritan Clinic serves as this program's fiscal agent.
